# Where does a pixel thought travel?

Heyou’s connection design links each ring to its phone, then uses a network service to reach the other person. Product privacy information will describe how those stages handle data.

## Use the route to ask clearer questions
A ring passes a local action to its phone. Phones use a network path, and the receiving phone interacts with its ring. For privacy, ask what each stage processes, why it is needed, and how long it is retained.

## Review the data handling
Before using the service for sensitive content, read the product’s privacy information for processing, storage and access. “Private language” describes a shared meaning between people; use the privacy information for technical data protection details.

## Website signup is a different record
Email and feature suggestions belong to the website launch list, not future ring-message data. The current signup endpoint handles form fields; it does not read phone conversations or ring communication. Product services will need matching data documentation before launch.
