# A goodnight across different time zones

Before making a moon mean “goodnight,” discuss each other’s routines and receiving preferences. A gentle thought should not require someone to stay awake.

## Ask when a thought is welcome
People in different cities may work, sleep, and travel at different times. A shared bedtime ritual can be lovely, but the time you send a picture should not become a requirement for the other person to be online.

## Make later reading part of the agreement
You might agree that seeing the moon after waking still counts as receiving a goodnight. That keeps the gesture warm without turning it into a reason to wait for a notification.

## Share your receiving preferences
Talk about when an alert would feel welcome and when you would rather rest. If night-time interruption matters to you, include that need in your signup suggestion so the team understands your routine.
