# What is the receiving vibration for?

Heyou’s intended receiving cue is a gentle vibration that invites you to look at a little picture when you are ready.

## An alert is different from reading
A vibration can mean “there is a little thought to look at,” rather than “you must respond now.” Choosing when to look and whether to reply remains with the receiving person.

## Find a comfortable rhythm
How a cue feels can vary with fit and activity. Think about when an alert would be welcome, and share any preferences that would help it fit into your day.

## Describe the setting that matters to you
Meetings, the moments around sleep and outdoor activity create different needs. Explain when a lighter, clearer or less intrusive cue would feel right.
